1. Terms of Use

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KnoVelo ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Use of this Service requires authentication via a Google account.

2. Service Definition

The Service consists of the following components:

• KnoVelo Web Application: Provides saved page management, AI search, and dashboard functionality
• KnoVelo Chrome Extension: Provides one-click saving of web pages to KnoVelo
• Thoth AI Chatbot: Provides natural language search and Q&A functionality

3. Prohibited Activities

Users must not engage in the following activities when using the Service:

• Unauthorized access or attempts to gain unauthorized access
• Actions that place excessive load on the Service's servers or network
• Reverse engineering, decompilation, or disassembly of the Service
• Impersonating other users
• Infringing copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
• Saving or sharing illegal content
• Commercial scraping using the Service
• Any other activities deemed inappropriate by the operator

4. AI Disclaimer

1. KnoVelo does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated responses, search results, or information provided by the Service.
2. Due to the nature of AI, generated content may include inaccurate information, inappropriate content, or content that potentially infringes on third-party rights. The operator assumes no liability for any damages arising from the use of such content.
3. Users are responsible for verifying and using AI responses at their own risk.

5. Disclaimer

The Service is not responsible for:

• Outages, interruptions, or specification changes of external services (Google Firebase, Gemini API, Google AdSense, etc.)
• Data loss due to user error, device failure, or communication issues
• Damages caused by unauthorized access or cyber attacks by third parties
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service

6. Data Management

Data saved by users is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). Data is linked to your Google account and protected by appropriate security rules.

If you delete your account, all associated data will be deleted. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

We recommend that users back up important data themselves.

7. Advertising

The Service may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Ad display may vary depending on the user's plan or settings.

8. Paid Plans

In addition to the free plan (Free), the Service offers paid plans (Pro, VIP, etc.).

Stripe is used for paid plan payments. Payment terms are as follows:

• Prices are as stated on the pricing page within the Service
• Subscriptions are automatically renewed monthly
• Plan changes and cancellations can be made at any time from the settings screen
• If you cancel, you may continue using the Service until the end of the current billing period
• As a general rule, no refunds will be provided for payments already made

9. Support Feature

The Service accepts voluntary support through Ko-fi.

Support funds are used for the operation and development of the Service. Support is voluntary and does not change the service content.

Support payments are non-refundable.

10. Intellectual Property Rights and Data Usage

All intellectual property rights related to the Service (software, design, logo, Thoth character, etc.) belong to KnoVelo or its licensors.

Copyright of content saved by users to the Service continues to belong to the user or the original rights holder.

Users agree that the Service may use anonymized versions of saved content for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving the Service. When personally identifiable information is involved, it is strictly managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Service Changes and Termination

The Service may change, add, or discontinue service content without prior notice.

If the Service is terminated, we will endeavor to provide advance notice when possible and allow a grace period for users to export their data.

12. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be revised without notice due to changes in laws or service content.

Significant changes will be communicated through notifications within the Service or by email.

Revised Terms take effect upon posting on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Japanese law.

The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction of first instance over any disputes relating to the Service.

14. Use by Minors

This Service is not intended for use by persons under 16 years of age. Persons under 16 should obtain parental consent before using the Service.

15. Language Priority

If other language versions of these Terms (such as this English version) exist and there are contradictions or discrepancies with the Japanese version, the Japanese version shall prevail as the authoritative legal document.
